Teaching statistics
At RPTU I teach statistics in the bachelor’s and master’s programmes in psychology: multivariate methods, advanced multivariate methods, intensive longitudinal data and test theory. Three of these courses I designed together with colleagues. My teaching has received five teaching awards from the Department of Psychology, based on the course evaluation.
As an external lecturer I have given workshops on multilevel models for longitudinal data and on multilevel structural equation models for doctoral researchers and postdocs at the University of Duisburg-Essen and Humboldt University of Berlin.
Interactive app
Over the years I have built several small Shiny apps for teaching. One example is the app for confirmatory factor analysis, which shows how the intercept, the loading and the residual variance of an indicator shape the data. It runs in the browser via shinylive (in German).
